Die richtige Fusspflege
Feet are often neglected when it comes to health and care. However, unhealthy feet can even lead to back problems and restrict many other areas of life. Find out how to train your foot muscles properly in our blog: 5 tips for healthier feet. In today's blog, you can find out how best to look after your feet and how you can pamper yourself and your feet.
Caution: Don't overdo it with the care. Think of it more as a means of relaxation and well-being. Ideally, you should care for your feet two to three times a week. If you have health problems, we recommend that you seek help from a medical professional.

Take a foot bath
A footbath is not only very pleasant and soothing for our feet, the addition of brine salts and mountain pine also stimulates circulation and revitalizes stressed feet. Additives such as plant oils from rosemary and lavender even have an odor-inhibiting effect on feet that sweat quickly. However, the water should not be too hot, preferably lukewarm. Otherwise the skin will soften too much. You should also not soak your feet for too long; depending on the temperature, a time of 10 to 20 minutes is recommended.

Shorten nails
The best time to trim your nails is immediately after a foot bath. To avoid injury and achieve an even result, we recommend using a nail file. Of course, you can also use nail scissors, but the edges should be carefully trimmed with a file. This prevents the nail from growing into the skin.

Removing calluses
After a footbath, your feet will be nice and soft and calluses will be easier to remove. We recommend gently removing calluses with a pumice stone. A callus file, however, should only be used on dry skin. Special callus creams that intensively moisturize the skin can remove calluses after about four weeks. Preparations with a high proportion of urea or glycerine are ideal, as they soften the callus. We recommend the Tal Foot Care Balm.

Cracked skin
Bacteria and fungi can enter the skin through small cracks. It is therefore important to treat dry skin with moisturizing substances. Special foot creams with a high urea content and nourishing additives such as ceramides are best suited for this. How the Tal Foot Care Cream that we offer. This keeps the skin supple and improves the skin's moisture balance. Many of our socks have an antibacterial and odor-inhibiting effect thanks to high-quality technologies. For example, our award-winning Copper Jet. Thanks to the copper content in the yarn, this has an antibacterial effect and can therefore reduce infections.

Oiling nails
Before applying nail oils, it is worth slightly roughening the nail bed with a special file so that the oil can be better absorbed. These nail oils give the toenail improved elasticity and provide it with nourishing substances.

Foot care tips for diabetics

Regular medical foot care is particularly important for diabetics. This is because they often suffer from dysfunction of the nerves in their feet, which means that they cannot feel minor injuries. In addition, wounds heal less well in diabetics, which increases the risk of infections. Diabetics should therefore check their feet regularly for injuries, apply cream carefully and be particularly careful with pumice stones and tools. If you are unsure, you should leave foot care to a medical professional, a podiatrist. For diabetics we have special Diabetic Socks in our range. The extra wide socks are gentle on the feet and do not create any pressure points.
