Social commitment

Social commitment

Social commitment is at least as important to us as fair manufacturing conditions, short supply chains and sustainable materials.

Sock donation

Did you know that socks are an often forgotten commodity that is essential for our health? Unfortunately, homeless people very often do not have access to this basic commodity. That is why we have decided to launch our sock donation program. In this way, we want to provide access to this essential product and help people in need. We have entered into a partnership with our main partner Caritas Switzerland and other small charities.

CARITAS Switzerland

With Caritas Switzerland we were able to launch a great donation project in 2020. We have donated over 521,000 socks and stockings (as of December 2023).

Social sustainability is at the heart of our mission. Not only in our supply chain, but also towards our end consumers.

Further programs

Swiss Alpine Club SAC

Since its foundation in 1863, the SAC has been a formative force in the development of the Alpine region and alpinism. Based on this tradition, today it is committed to responsible mountain sports and largely free access to the mountains. With around 160,000 members, the Swiss Alpine Club SAC is one of the largest sports associations in Switzerland. A special trekking sock was developed together with the SAC in 2019. Through this unique collaboration, we are supporting a diverse and attractive training program for SAC youth.

Swiss Solidarity

In difficult times, we try to make our social contribution whenever possible and are proud to have made a donation of CHF 13,555 to Swiss Solidarity during the first COVID-19 lockdown (2020). Swiss Solidarity and were able to do so. This donation was used by Swiss Solidarity as follows

  • Home delivery, transportation services, food and care for people affected by coronavirus
  • Financial support for people in need
  • Food aid
  • Initiatives that enable and promote solidarity within society

Pastor Sieber social work

The Pastor Sieber Social Services runs a clothes store in Zurich-Seebach. This store sells clothes to people who are not on the sunny side of life.

A major problem with the clothes store is that underwear and socks cannot be given away for hygiene reasons. The social welfare organization has to buy them in order to be able to give them to those in need.

As the well-being of all people is important to us, we have made a donation of 1000 pairs of socks from Jacob Rohner AG.
