Egyptian cotton

This luxurious fibre makes each sock noticeably silkier, stronger, more breathable and more durable than its cotton counterpart.

Air Channel System R.A.C.S.

The Air Channel system improves air circulation, absorbs moisture, inhibits odour and has an antibacterial effect. This guarantees dry and happy feet for hours.

Anatomical design

The anatomical design of the socks encloses the shape of the foot and offers targeted reinforcements in zones subject to heavy wear. It therefore guarantees a tailored fit.

Anti Slip Tube

The anti-slip tube technology gives the socks a non-slip upper without elastane. This means that socks no longer cut in and they do not slip.

Antibacterial

Rohner socks are manufactured in such a way that they are effective against bacteria.

Antistatic

Antistatic fibres are not or only slightly electrically charged because they are electrically conductive. Such fibres cannot be charged by friction.

Breathable

The ability of a garment to wick moisture away from the skin to the outside. It's all about water vapour permeability. What is important here is not how much moisture is absorbed by the material, but how quickly it is evaporated.

Cotton

Cotton belongs to the fine natural fibres and has a high absorbency, but it dries slowly once it is wet. It is also very skin-friendly, as it does not irritate the skin, and has anti-allergic functions. Cotton socks are particularly breathable, resistant and hard-wearing. In addition to these excellent properties, cotton socks are durable and heat-resistant.

Organic Cotton

On organic cotton fields, no artificial sprays are used as on normal cotton plantations, which is why the soil is fertile in the long term. In addition, the environment and groundwater remain clean and the health of the people is not affected.

Bioceramics

Resistex bioceramics is a polyester fibre that is linked to bioceramic crystals to provide comprehensive protection.

ADVANTAGES:

  • constant effectiveness, even after many washings
  • Insulation from cold
  • environmentally friendly: non-toxic, contains no chemicals, recyclable material
  • Protection against harmful UV-A and UV-B rays
  • provides long-term freshness during sporting activities
  • odour inhibiting and antibacterial

Chemical Fibre

Man-made fibres are fibrous materials that are produced chemically. There are two groups: synthetic and cellulosic. Synthetic man-made fibres are made from raw materials that do not exist in nature, which is why they are produced artificially. Cellulosic man-made fibres, on the other hand, are produced from the natural raw material cellulose.

Climayarn®

Climayarn® fibres regulate the body temperature and quickly remove excessive moisture.

CoolMax® Fibers

CoolMax® wicks away sweat, dries quickly and prevents blisters.

Crabyon fibres

Crabyon fibres are extracted from the outer skeleton, the chitin shell (residual product) of crabs. The extraordinary thing about this material is its antibacterial effect, as it slows down the growth of bacteria, improves the foot climate and reduces the risk of infection, making it suitable for allergy sufferers. In addition, Crabyon is excellently moisture-absorbing, which is why the feet always stay dry without drying out the skin.

Elastane

Elastane fibres are man-made fibres made of polyurethane, which contain both elastic and rigid segments, resulting in very high elastic elongation. Environmental conditions and low or high temperatures do not affect elastane socks, because elastane makes them more tear-resistant and durable than any other socks. With every stretch, the sock always returns to its original shape. Socks made of elastane offer high wearing comfort and great freedom of movement, and they are also very easy to care for. The caressingly soft material results in a perfect fit.

Ergonomic

Ergonomic socks are optimally adapted to the feet and thus take into account the resilience of the body.

Fine knitting

Feinstrick is a soft and light fabric knitted from very thin yarn, which is also very cuddly and suitable for everyday use.

Flat weld

In this type of seam, also known as butt seam, two fabric edges, flat or folded, are joined. In this way, an additional fabric is prevented from being applied. The edges do not overlap, but abut each other. The hand-linked flat seam of Rohner socks protects against pressure points in the toe area.

Terrycloth

Terry cloth is a textile fabric which makes socks particularly absorbent and gives them a pleasant feel.

Yarn

GARN is an endless, linear textile structure. It is produced from staple fibres of limited length by spinning or from several continuous filaments by twisting. The type of yarn used has a decisive influence on the fabric properties in terms of appearance (uniformity), serviceability (resistance to abrasion, tearing, creasing, seams) and wear properties (absorbency, softness, pliability).

Tip of warping

Different pieces of fabric are joined together so that the toe area is seamless to avoid friction or irritation of the foot.

Interlock

Interlock is a stitch weave for fine, but little stretchy, dimensionally stable knitwear, which shows a right-hand stitch pattern on both sides. Interlock is produced on circular knitting machines. Due to the higher material input, Interlock is more expensive and heavier than comparable fabrics which are also made of cotton, silk, polyester or polyamide.

Jersey

JERSEY comes from the British Channel Island of Jersey, where jersey fabrics were first produced. It is a knitted fabric made of different raw materials.

Carbon

Resistex Karbon is a yarn with unique technical properties. It is obtained by combining textile fibres with a continuous thread of conductive material based on activated carbon.

ADVANTAGES:

  • Reduction of the lactic acid concentration
  • Improvement of the blood circulation
  • cell oxygenation
  • natural, non-toxic, contains no chemicals
  • Protection against UV rays, bacteria and allergies
  • Thermal regulation and transfer
  • Increase in performance

Cashmere

Cashmere is a fine and soft natural fibre obtained from the underfur of the cashmere goat, which is why it is called precious wool, which has good thermal properties. Cashmere also has a silky sheen and keeps you warm.

Compression

Socks with compression stimulate the blood circulation, supply the muscles with more oxygen and thus help against symptoms like heavy legs, aching limbs, swollen feet and ankles.

Lenofil

Reinforces the heel and toe area with high abrasion resistance and prevents blistering.

Lingerie

LINGERIE comes from the French and means linen or piece of linen. Lingerie is a collective term for fine nightwear and underwear. Characteristic are the material such as white fine cotton or linen and delicate embroidery and lace.

LYCRA®

Lycra is a very elastic synthetic fibre from the group of elastanes.

Lyocell (CLY)

Lyocell is produced from cellulose, which is obtained here from eucalyptus wood. Lyocell is natural, environmentally friendly, easy to produce and extremely strong. Thanks to its smooth and silky surface, it is very pleasant on the skin and provides perfect moisture transport. It also prevents the growth of bacteria.

Knitwear

Knitwear is a collective term for knitted, crocheted and warp knitted fabrics. In this technology, yarns are formed into stitches with the help of needles, which are joined together vertically and horizontally.

Merino wool

Merino wool is obtained from merino sheep, it is particularly soft and at the same time the ideal material for particularly sweaty jobs, because it absorbs moisture, conducts it outwards and dries quickly, so body and clothes always stay nice and dry. Other properties: elastic, smooth, warm and very pleasant on the skin.

MerylSkinlife®

MerylSkinlife, with silver microparticles, belongs to the most modern mix of intelligent polyamide yarns. It has permanent antibacterial and odour-inhibiting properties to reduce unpleasant odours.

Modal

MODAL is the name of a regenerated cellulose fibre with high tensile strength produced by a modified viscose process.

Natural fiber

Natural fibres come from natural (vegetable, animal or mineral) sources and can be used directly without chemical conversion. One example is cotton, which is of plant origin (cellulose).

Piqué structure

Piqué is a type of fabric made of cotton or viscose that looks like quilted fabric because it has alternating raised and recessed areas.

Polyamide

Polyamide is a strong, elastic and high-gloss plastic with very good chemical resistance.

Polyester (Dacron®, Trevira®)

Polyester is a plastic that is used in many different ways.

ADVANTAGES:

  • easy to clean
  • dries quickly
  • transports moisture well
  • soft and skin-friendly
  • stores heat
  • fine, thin, light
  • high dimensional stability, does not crease
  • high strength and flexibility and therefore resistant and tearproof

Polypropylene

Polypropylene is a strong, stiff and hard plastic with good impact resistance.

Profiles® fibers

Profilen® fibers are dirt and water repellent and offer outstanding gliding properties to prevent bubbles.

Rib

RIPP fine rib is right-right knitted fabric produced on circular knitting machines. If it is stretched, a right and a left stitch can be seen alternately on both sides in the course of a row of stitches. The right-hand stitches form a fine continuous rib in the longitudinal direction. The fabric is fine and elastic. Double rib is double-faced knitted fabric produced on circular knitting machines. Visible ribs are created in the fabric by the removal of needles. The weave is less fine, but particularly elastic, and is therefore often used for cuffs.

Virgin wool

This type of wool is shorn from the living sheep and is therefore a natural product. It is durable and warm.

SeaCell® Active

The material with algae active ingredients that improves the soft and comfortable feeling. Through skin contact, the fibre releases important active ingredients such as proteins, vitamins, carbohydrates etc.

Seamless

SEAMLESS means seamless. The laundry piece has no side seam or flat edges. It does not pinch and there are no visible seams under the outerwear.

Silk

Silk is a fine natural animal fibre obtained from the cocoons of silk-spinning insects. It is soft and smooth and insulates against cold and heat.

Silver fibres

Skin-friendly silver fibres make textiles conductive and antibacterial. In addition, these fibres are able to transport sweat away well and thus have an odour-inhibiting effect.

SmartCell® yarn

A yarn that has an antibacterial and odour-inhibiting effect and thus improves the feeling of freshness. It supports and cares for the skin and also has a regenerating effect. It also promotes the healing of wounds and inflammations and protects against environmental influences.

Viscose (CV)

Viscose is made from cellulose, which in turn comes from spruce or beech wood.

Webware

In woven goods, warp threads running in the longitudinal direction and weft threads running in the transverse direction are crossed at right angles. It is not stretchy, which is why it cannot adapt to the shape of the body.
