Social commitment

Social commitment is at least as important to us as fair manufacturing conditions, short supply chains and sustainable materials.

Sock donation

Did you know that socks are an often forgotten commodity that is essential for our health? Unfortunately, homeless people very often do not have access to this basic commodity. That is why we have decided to launch our sock donation program. In this way, we want to provide access to this essential product and help people in need. We have entered into a partnership with our main partner Caritas Switzerland and other small charities.

CARITAS Switzerland

With Caritas Switzerland we were able to launch a great donation project in 2020. We have donated over 521,000 socks and stockings (as of December 2023).

Social sustainability is at the heart of our mission. Not only in our supply chain, but also towards our end consumers.

Further programs

Swiss Alpine Club SAC

Since its founding in 1863, the SAC has been a force in shaping the development of the Alpine region and alpinism. Based on this tradition, it is nowadays committed to responsible mountain sports and largely free access to the mountain world. With around 160,000 members, the Swiss Alpine Club SAC is one of the largest sports associations in Switzerland. Together with the SAC, a special trekking sock was developed in 2019. Through this unique collaboration, we support a diverse and attractive training programme for SAC youth.

Swiss Solidarity

In difficult times we try to make our social contribution whenever possible and are proud that during the first COVID19 Lockdown (2020) we were allowed and able to make a donation of CHF 13,555 to Swiss Solidarity. This donation was used by Swiss Solidarity as follows:

  • Home delivery, transport services, meals, and care for Corona-affected people.
  • Financial support for people in need
  • Food aid
  • Initiatives that enable and promote solidarity within society

Social Work Pastor Sieber

The Sozialwerk Pfarrer Sieber runs a clothes shop in Zurich-Seebach. In this shop, clothes are given to people who are not on the sunny side of life.

A big problem of the clothes shop is that underwear and socks cannot be given away for hygienic reasons. These have to be bought by the Sozialwerk in order to give them to the needy.

Because we care about the well-being of all people, we have made a donation of 1000 pairs of socks from Jacob Rohner AG.
